I would like to thank you for a thoroughly engaging semester, throughout my entire degree I have never learned and retained as much information as I have in your class. Your approach was unlike any other professor I have had and your cadence and tone during lecture kept me engaged. [...] So I would like to thank-you for delivering the one of maybe three meaningful classes I have had throughout the entire length of this degree

“I want to say thank you. Honestly, I wanted to say this earlier but I didn’t want you to think I was trying to sweet talk you or something into a grade but now that it is officially done - Thank you, thank you, thank you - not just for a compelling seminar but for the compassion you provided the class and me from the start of the last term, to the deferral request, and even now.
You really did bring a breath of fresh air into this program (and I can say that with 100% certainty cause at this point I have legit been in this program/school way past my welcome so I got student seniority creds to confirm that this program - up until this point - has been as dry as the Sahara Desert).

Legit, if you didn’t make the class so interesting and engaging like in a real-world connection kind of way I honestly wouldn’t have cared about the paper, but you did, and so I cared too - a lot. And as corny as this sounds, this class really did help to re-ignite an interest that I had long thought was lost. That’s why when it came to the paper even though I know I could have done without it and it was probably easier to do so, I couldn’t bring myself to submit nothing. I was also very scared in asking for help, but I am so glad I did as having this sense of accomplishment is a feeling of peace that I didn’t even realize I needed, so thank you for giving me time.

I am forever grateful for your teaching and support Professor.”

I am just emailing to express my gratitude to you for a great semester. You were a very approachable, helpful, and supportive professor which makes a huge difference in student’s lives. Thank you for always bringing passion, perspective, and discussion to each lecture. It was a unique (stressful) learning experience this year with COVID and online/off-line school, however, you managed to make it a very easy and successful transition for your students.

Thank you for providing a space for Queer students. It’s rare to find such positive spaces here, and I really wanted to thank you for that. It was also really cool to see the many ways that LGBTQ families can exist. There’s not enough of this visibility here.

Thanks for an amazing class this semester! I really enjoyed the content and how it felt more like a conversation than a class! I hope you find yourself back at STMU sometime in the near future
